The King Abdullah Ear Center, in cooperation with King Saud University, yesterday launched the activities of the “first awareness day to treat hearing problems and cochlear implantation” at the King Abdulaziz Historical Center in Riyadh, in the presence and patronage of Prof. Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Zamil, Dean of the College of Medicine at King Saud University , And the supervisor of university hospitals.
Prof. Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Hajar – Director of the King Abdullah Specialist Center for Ear – said that this event is unique in the Kingdom, and this day will become a day for every year to educate all segments of society about diseases and problems of hearing and electronic cochlear implantation, stressing that hearing problems in the Kingdom You are witnessing a continuous increase, especially if we know that the incidence of hearing diseases in the Kingdom exceeds the global proportions, pointing out that the global rate does not exceed one per thousand, but it exceeds that in the Kingdom due to the marriage of relatives.
