King Abdullah Specialist Center for Ear, King Saud University, organizes next Sunday the “15th” annual meeting of cochlear implant patients

King Abdulaziz University Hospital in the Medical City of King Saud University will host next Sunday the 15th annual meeting of cochlear implant patients, organized by the King Abdullah Specialist Center for Ear with the participation of the special education departments for boys and girls in the Ministry of Education, and the Center Hearing and speech, the Saudi Society for Hearing Impairment, and the Prince Sultan Center for Support Services, accompanied by an awareness exhibition on cochlear and ear health, coinciding with the International Day for Cochlear Implant.
And the director of the King Abdullah Specialist Center for Ear, Dr. Abdul Rahman Hajar, stated that hearing impairment is one of the most prevalent physical disabilities, 2 out of every 1000 babies who have hearing disabilities, which constitutes 10% of the world.
He extended an invitation on behalf of the Center to the families of the cochlear implants and those interested to attend the meeting because of the information provided on this aspect.
